I am a Nigerian journalist based in Abuja. I hold Bachelor and Masters degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism Studies from Bayero University Kano and Cardiff University respectively. I have been in journalism practice for more than 30 years, holding executive positions from editor to Editor-in-Chief of some of the leading newspapers and magazines in Nigeria, including Hotline, New Nigerian, Leadership, and Blueprint. My skills include editorial writing and editing, as well as opinion writing, newsgathering, translation (English to Hausa and vice versa), and movie script writing. I have written articles for many Nigerian dailies, such as the ones mentioned above, as well as for The Guardian, and Daily Trust, among others.
