Why Erzin didn't fall? With help of science from geophysicist Melih Baki and a static engineer Süleyman Emre Temel we searched why Erzin, a small town in Hatay Province, did not have major destruction, during the deadly earthquakes hit South of Turkiye and North of Syria. "It is a natural coincident. Erzin is geologically protected by the west side of the mountain. The nature of attitude there might be rocky and distributes the waves." Melih Baki said. While towns around had been majorly heavily damaged or fallen to the ground, Süleyman said, "The buildings here are still standing with light damages. However some of the buildings here, if they were in Antakya, they might not make it" he said.
