Dan Fipphen is a Washington, DC-based filmmaker who has worked on short and long-form documentaries, branded content, digital series and broadcast television. His editing credits include films for clients such as National Geographic, ESPN Films, The Guardian, Upworthy, USAID, and the Gates Foundation. He recently co-created "Fired Up", an animated short that depicts the origins of Barack Obama's "fired up, ready to go" chant, which was featured by the Atlantic, named a Vimeo Staff Pick, and added to Short of the Week. Released on the final day of the Obama presidency, the film has been reviewed by the Huffington Post and A.V. Club and seen more than 7 million times. Before that, he directed a short film for Zomia SPC, an education start-up in Thailand. He also edited and produced PYNE POYNT, a feature documentary about youth baseball in Camden, NJ that is currently available on Amazon Video. He also co-created and edited On Frozen Ponds, a 4-part digital docu-series about pond hockey in New England that has been featured on Comcast Sports New England and was a finalist for the New York Times Op-Doc LivePitch contest. Dan is a frequent collaborator of GoodFight Media, an award-winning production company based in Washington, DC.
