Produced for Red rocks initiative
Film about a community based tourism project in Rwanda
Last December I spent 10 days at Red Rocks, a local organisation that receives guests from all over the world to stay at their beautiful campsite in the north of the country and supports a range of initiatives that involve the local communities in the region. At Red Rocks the community members become active participants and stakeholders in the tourism industry, rather than passive beneficiaries or victims of tourism development. Red Rocks also encourages sustainable use of natural resources and promotes conservation of the environment, which is essential for the long-term sustainability of tourism.
