Hi there, My name is Rachel White, and I'm a hardworking journalist who aspires to make the world a more inclusive, better place through my work. I am prepared to work tirelessly to tell untold stories and to learn from those around me. I recently graduated with a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism where I specialized in national security and social justice reporting as well as documentary filmmaking. My capstone documentary was nominated for a Chicago/Midwestern Emmy award in the long form, nonfiction category. I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science, as well as a minor in international relations in May 2014. I recently won a college Emmy award for a show that I produced during undergrad in Cuba. I also previously reported for The Daily Collegian where I covered the Sandusky trial from inside the courtroom. I have reported for numerous outlets using broadcast, print and social media.
