In the final of three border stories in collaboration with the Grotto Network, I joined a group that plants crosses to honor the lives of migrants who have died in the desert. Many of these migrants die unidentified, but they believe all lives are worth remembering.
In this collaboration with the Grotto Network, I had the opportunity to visit the Migrant Carpentry Workshop, part of the DouglaPrieta Works philanthropic partnership between Douglas, Arizona and Agua Prieta, Mexico. It was inspiring to see a new perspective on the immigration crisis and a grassroots effort to make a positive impact in the lives of migrants.
I created this documentary for the University of Notre Dame's Grotto network. From working for free at the top fine dining restaurant in the U.S. to a career reimagining Filipino food, chef Emmanuel Garcia shows us the passion and grit it takes to build a career as a world-class chef.
I had the opportunity to once again work with CM Productions to help create content for the WiNGS Dallas annual luncheon. Humane Borders is dedicated to saving their lives by providing water along the way of their grueling and dangerous journey. "It's not for me to judge whether they are breaking the law; I just want to help human beings in need."
