Norman Bloom and his son Jimmy’s Copps Island Oysters are grown and harvested in Long Island Sound the way oysters have been for centuries. In an oyster market where small batch, “boutique” oysters take center stage, Norm Bloom & Son competes as one of only a handful of companies harvesting oysters at scale in the traditional way.
I directed, shot, and edited this documentary for Adobe and broadcasted in Time Square. Over the course of 24 hours, using 7000 pencils, 1200 feet of rope, 1400 sheets of paper, and one trampoline, they executed a "play experiment" to create their design solution. And, no one stopped working until the design was perfect.
