About
I am a quadrilingual (Russian, Mandarin, French, English) freelance reporter and broadcast journalist with an interest in China, Russia, international affairs, investigative journalism and the arts.
I am currently working at France 24 as a field reporter and news package producer, as well as AFP global news agency as a video producer and video journalist. I have covered such events as the Ukraine/Russia war from Moscow, the anti-pension reform protests and youth riots in France, mass exodus of Nagorno-Karabakh population, Afghan girls schools and the FIFA World Cup 2022. Alongside news I have also produced and reported in a documentary series on Sino-British history and cultural ties, and have filmed and produced a documentary on UK universities' financial dependence on Chinese students.
I am proficient in Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition. I script, edit and shoot news reports on industry-standard cameras and frequently go out in the field to do live reports.
I am a quick learner with a good worth ethic and deliver high-quality work on time. My academic background have given me profound knowledge in both Asian and European politics and cultures.
