This is about ordeal of people who were travelling back home, during lockdown in India, some on foot, some by their own rickshaw, or taking lift on the way. They were in transit during their journey of hundreds of kilometers, from Delhi to rural parts of eastern U.P./ Bihar.
Bahurupiya (impersonators) is a community, who were patronized by erstwhile courts and survived so far by public performances, are threatened by modern means of entertainments. Pandemic and its after effects may prove fatal for this community.
Rangshri Little Ballet Troupe is the oldest surviving group in India. Ram Prakash Tripathi, in this interview, underlines the journey of the LBT which toured the world and is based at Bhopal.

Recce for this project for motivation for further stories about the Tibetan community in exile. Designing the video story about poet-activist Tenzin Tsundue was challenging but we as a team were able to narrate his journey from childhood to a committed activist, from prison to poetry and podiums.
This photo story is part of my long term project of documenting artisanal professions in India. This is probably the last generation practicing the old traditions, be it a craft or a set of skills which were once indispensable but have lost their relevance now. They know that change is inevitable but so far they have resisted. The project aims to narrate the stories of artisans who have practiced their trade for generations but are now on the verge of extinction.
This reportage was mainly to focus upon agrarian issues and mood of public in general during parliament election in India.
