Flew to Borneo immediately to get the story behind the accident and filed the story within a day of reporting. Reuters beat its competitors with this piece.
Wanted to write a feature piece on the rising trend of medical tourism in Southeast Asia, in particular Malaysia. Interviewed hospitals, a local pharmaceutical company and the country's official agency promoting halal products and services to get an insight on measures made to lure its target market - Middle Eastern patients.
