Aymée Cruzalegui is a documentary filmmaker, producer and editor with background in short and long format production for tv. For more than 15 years, Aymée Cruzalegui has been producing, directing and editing television programs for international companies such as MTV Networks, Nickelodeon Latin America and Discovery Channel. More recently, Aymée turned to documentary and directed, produced and edited POR MIS HIJOS (FOR THEM), a short which won top awards at: Documenta Madrid, Cine Las Americas, Miami Short Film Festival and NYC Short Film Festival. Aymée is also a South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellow for Visual & Media Arts and a Chicken & Egg Pictures grantee. Also, she is co-founder of the Miami Filmmakers Collective and co-owner of S+A Media, a production company that develops and produces original content for web and broadcast. Currently, she is post-producing a docu-series based on a talented tattoo artist and developing a documentary about transnational families.
