Juan Diego Reyes is a Colombian-born adventure and documentary photographer currently based in Asheville, NC. Migrating to the U.S. at age nine, his dual-cultural experience shaped his worldview and fueled his passion for photography and storytelling. His work delves into cultural history, folklore, climate change, and identity, with a focus on Latin American immigrants in the U.S. and the effects of climate change on vulnerable communities. In 2022, he completed a three-year program at Anderson Ranch Arts Center, mentored by Ed Kashi and James Estrin. He is an educator with National Geographic Expeditions and member of Diversify Photo. His work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, WIRED, Vogue, NPR, among other publications. Commercial clients include Airbnb, The North Face, Lyft, and Outdoor Research.
