In the UK I've covered politics for Scotland's top political publication, Holyrood Magazine, and I've worked as a producer in Scotland's main news broadcaster STV. In my spare time I've been working on a documentary project investigating corruption and human rights abuses in the international development sector, both private and public.
This showreel is a collection of clips from my reporting in Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as some footage during my ongoing documentary investigation into an international education company condemned for human rights violations in Uganda.
Covering political committee meetings in Holyrood Parliamnet. As a reporter and an ex-nurse I reported from Holyrood about the ongoing issue with NHS Scotland Boards demanding more Government loans to support their services. Keeping a constant eye out for a top-line and focusing on the meetings to understand the future and fate of Scottish healthcare.
Reporting from Holyrood Parliament Committee meetings. This type of reporting requires a strong ear for a top-line, and an ability to understand politics and political jargon whilst noting important quotes from members of the committee. In this case I recorded Roseanna Cunningham, Environment Secretary, express how she felt the public are at fault for pollution in Scotland.
