Sicilian born Eugenio Grosso moved to Milan at the age of eighteen to study his Bachelors in Design and Fine Arts at the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera, and graduated in 2007 with honours. He has worked as a part-time commercial photographer since 2007 and as a full-time photojournalist since 2009. He is a regular contributor to Italian publications and his work has been featured in international publications like the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Financial Times, the BBC and the Washington Post. He lives and works in London.

This piece of work is a chapter of a wider project on the theme of immigration I am working on since 2013. I decided to take some panoramic images (made by sticking together different shots) to make people able to see by themselves at the situation inside the camp rather than showing a small portion of it. For those images I was inspired by the aesthetics of Google street view.

A trade across the Mediterranean sea brings back the tradition of the Phoenician merchant that once ruled the sea and connected cultures from both Europe and Africa.

This is the story of a trade that goes across the sea from Europe to Africa. Every Saturday a group of Tunisian living in Italy ship second hand goods to Tunisia on old cars stuffed with any kind of object. From rusty bicycles and scooters to pieces of furnitures and stove everything is piled on the roof of those cars ready to find new life on the other side of the sea.

The reunification line is railway that runs all the way down across Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Min City. It got its name after the reunification of the country after the American-Vietnamese war. Today it is a symbol of the renovated unity of Vietnam. The railway was destroyed during the war and then re-opened a long time after the end of the conflict.
