Mon Mon Myat is an independent writer/journalist/producer from Burma/Myanmar. She is a PhD Candidate in the Peacebuilding Program at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She obtained MA Journalism Degree from Anteneo de Manila University in the Philippines. She has graduated Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Paypap University in Thailand. She has written various articles for news agencies including Inter Press Service (IPS) Asia Pacific, AFP (Agence France-Presse, Yangon), IRIN News (humanitarian news and analysis, a project of the UN Office), NyTid, a Norwegian News Magazine, the Irrawaddy Magazine and Spectrum, Bangkok Post Newspaper as a freelance contributor.
