Request QuoteGiacomo Bruno is a self-taught, Italian photographer and filmmaker. He was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy in 1991. After finishing his scientific studied in high school, and later dropping University, he decided to dedicate himself to photography, in particular to industrial still life and commercial photography. He became so a professional in 2010. It was clear, though, that his true vocation was traveling, deepening social issues and specially telling stories. He has traveled in many different countries such as Central and South America, North and South Africa, and Asia with India,Sri Lanka and China. His personal interest focus on human beings,on their cultures, working tradition with a special attention to their environment. In both photography and documentary the story develops around the portrait of one ore more characters, trying to enhance with an emotional touch, the subject and his background, as an equally important element to better tell a story. All his collections of images are a consequence of his interest and necessity in documenting with his camera everything that he finds inspiring and interesting.

Every day of the year, from 1995 to the present, in Amatlan de los Reyes, this volunteer group of 12 women called Las Patronas prepares fresh water bottles, cook rice, beans and tortillas for hundreds of faces and desperate souls that an average of 4 times per day are leaning from the wagons of the beast, on the railway heading North to the US border.
