I lit, filmed, and audio recorded a couch interview with Wolvves, as well as followed them around for several days when they played live. I then edited the video together and wrote a 500-word blog to go along with it.
Dean Chetwynd is an incredible artist who paints murals of Hell and the Apocalypse, a reflection of the troubled life he's lived. I was associate producer for this documentary directed by Ben Kitnick. It was awarded Staff Pick by Vimeo.
With the help of my cameraman Jack Schwitz, we filmed a meet-and-greet with hip hop kings Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) when they met the guy who started Meow The Jewels. I interviewed the principles, then edited this video together in less than 48 hours.
Filmed three Phoenix churchgoers, two who made the final cut (Mickey Tucker and Kitty Byrne), about Trump's executive order banning immigration from certain countries. Shot with Sony a6300, synced audio from Zoom H2n and edited rushes in Final Cut.
In early 2016, BNN, a Dutch public broadcasting company, approached me to help them produce two documentaries about drug trafficking across Mexico into Arizona. My first task was finding local heroin users and getting them to agree to be on camera. Next, I did several tours of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Tent City jail system and then shadowed the crew for a few days.
Lucas Mullikin and I went out to the desert for a day's worth of shooting as Glenn Weyant, a musician from Tucson, played music against the United States border fence. We filmed everything for a documentary, which fell through, but I wrote a 3,000 word piece on it.
