I attended the University of Missouri and earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree with an emphasis in photojournalism. I have been a staff photographer at numerous newspapers, including being a staff photographer for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer for 12 years. My editorial work has been featured in National Geographic, Newsweek, Time, Sports Illustrated, Der Spiegel, Paris Match, Vanity Fair, New York Times, and others. I have been working as a commercial, editorial, lifestyle & food photographer for the past 15 years, as well as being the official contract photographer for the University of Washington Athletics Dept. I have extensive experience with studio lighting, both flash and continuous.
