South African Day of Action in Solidarity with Palestinian Resistance to Apartheid and Colonialism
On 11 October, a large number of pro-Palestine South Africans protested outside the US Consulate in Johannesburg, calling for an end to the war and equally importantly, the Israeli occupation of Gaza. Al Jazeera Plus (AJ+) engaged with Carina Bruwer to cover the event, which included interviewing the organiser as well as protesters on the ground, filming B roll and taking some stills.

Dudu's Story - Supporting Tomorrow's Leaders
Dudu Makhari is dedicated to building resilient leaders through education, sport, art and youth development initiatives in South Africa. The Cherie Blair Foundation's Road to Growth programme supported Dudu to further grow her business, and commissioned via Arete Stories, a short video and stills production for their "Her Stories" campaign. Mother of the Rooibos
Filmed during the world-renowned flower season in the breathtaking Namakwaland – the “home of rooibos” – this quirky yet stirring film tells the story of an organic farm worker who has been working in the fields her whole life, as did the generations before her, and their forefathers the KhoiSan. The brand film showcases the beauty of the area, the pathos of the farm worker, and the excitement of the product (Rubro drinks) which is allowing this small and poor community to have big dreams.
