For Flagler junior, change starts with statues
Hasani Malone, a young black woman attending a predominantly white college, said that St. Augustine has never been welcoming to the black community. She and others of the black community have been standing up for equality through rallies and protests of sorts. The Confederate monuments in the city's central plaza have sparked an uproar and Malone is one of those speaking out to get them removed.
