Portia Gabor is a Senior Broadcast Journalist, Producer and Lead Television News Anchor at Media General, ( TV3 Network Limited ) based in Kanda, Accra Ghana. Portia joined TV3 in 2007, carving a niche for herself focusing on development journalism, disability and health reporting . At an immense personal risk, she reported on the COVID-19 outbreak by reporting directly from isolation and treatment centres in Ghana. She was among three journalists selected from Ghana to interview the Queen of Denmark, Queen Margrethe II in 2017. She’s also interviewed the former US deputy secretary of Agriculture, Stephen Censky during the US-West Africa trade mission in Ghana. Portia is a fellow of the International Visitor Leadership Programme of the US Department of State Her works have been honoured, some of these include Ghana Journalist Awards 2022, Journalist of the year. Best Journalist in News Reporting TV Ghana Journalist Awards, Best Journalist in Health Reporting among others.
