Genderful! is a space for kids and caregivers to explore gender through art and creativity. The first event was held in Brooklyn on October 14, 2017 by If You Want It (ifyouwantit.ltd) and the Brooklyn Library. I shot footage along with another videographer, recorded sound and edited this piece to capture the day.
Directed by filmmakers Chanelle Aponte Pearson and Terence Nance, "The Way It Should Be" mixes fiction and nonfiction expressions of love and friendship experienced by queer women of color in Brooklyn. I collaborated with the filmmakers to bring together their treatment and concept, edit the story and experiment with the Snapchat format.
I filmed and edited this video of Yes, Ma'am from New Orleans on the snowy streets of Columbia, Missouri as part of a commission from True/False Film Festival to capture the music and busking going on around town during the festival.
