I traveled to the Quill Lakes in Saskatchewan to capture photos and interview a family whose livelihood has been threatened by ongoing flooding. This research-intensive piece captured the impacts of the rising water of the Quill Lakes on small businesses in the region.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in La Loche almost exactly a week after the small northern village was thrown into turmoil when a shooter opened fire in La Loche’s high school. As a reporter on the ground, I freelanced with multiple agencies to capture both the federal, and local, emotions around the events of Jan. 22, 2016.
I was the producer on a 22-minute documentary about a small-time wrestler with dreams of making it big in the WWE. This documentary was a production of the University of Regina Journalism School.
I told the story of a number of women whose lives were forever transformed after witnessing the drowning death of a friend and family member while they were students at a Metis Boarding School in northern Saskatchewan. Their friend Linda Aubichon had not properly been memorialized until this story was published.

I traveled to the Saskatchewan reserve of Sturgeon Lake First Nation to report on the most-intensive animal rescue ever done by the Canine Action Project. More than 170 dogs and cats were rescued as a last-ditch effort to avoid culling (shooting and killing) strays in the community.
