Since 2013, Gavin has been making a documentary film on the history of voting rights in the US as relates to race and is currently producing the new "space show" for the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. A native New Yorker, he currently lives in Connecticut with his wife and 6 year old daughter.
I was the visual effects supervisor for this commercial, overseeing the graphics team and providing on set supervision in order to effectively combine the live action elements with the visual effects.
Feature length doc on the history of voting rights told in a "Then and Now" format with the aim of connecting the dots across generations in order to give historical context to the toxicity of our current political discourse.
