I was a dual-country Fulbright researcher, conducting writing projects in Bulgaria and Greece. I was a Rona Jaffe fellow at the Iowa Writers' Workshop, worked for 2 years in Istanbul, and spent 5 months working on-site as a volunteer coordinator at a refugee camp in Northern Greece. I currently live and work in Brussels.
I researched and wrote several pieces for Offbeat, a nationally distributed New Orleans-based magazine. This article was about a transplant who opened a performance venue in an abandoned church, stirring controversy in the neighborhood.
I conducted research and interviews, and wrote an article covering Dithyrambalina. Dithyrambalina or Chateua Poulet was the first installment of an art project by New Orleans Airlift. The project was a roving musical village with houses that could be played like instruments.
