Rania Rashwan the girl who took off her hijab in the jihadi village..
my video shoot for Rania Rashwan’s story is an example for veiled women in Egypt who were forced to wear Hijab when they were just children; It also intensifies the religious extremism that was blended with male dominance in villages and non-central areas in Egypt. There is a brutal fight that girls in Egypt go through once they decide to rebel and deny going with the flow regarding religious heritage and conservative customs, especially when it comes to taking off Hijab or if they decide to be independent. Girls’ attempts to express themselves is faced with physical abuse that includes beating, home detention and in some cases, it can reach being forced to marry or be killed.
