About
Lauren Santucci is a documentary film director, cinematographer, and photographer living in Austin, Texas. Her work explores the connection between individual stories and wider contemporary social issues through authentic and intimate visual storytelling.
Her current documentary in production was awarded a short film grant from the Austin Film Society and will be released in 2025.
Lauren’s clients include Frontline PBS, Al Jazeera, BBC, The Texas Tribune, and Education Week. She has contributed cinematography to documentary films that have been screened by the Video Consortium and at festivals like Telluride, SXSW, and DOC NYC.
With a background in photojournalism, her images have been published by NPR and The Guardian and exhibited at Photoville and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
