About
Savva has spent the past decade traveling the world, filming across 5 continents and 25 countries. He has ventured deep into the jungles of Peru with Werner Herzog, lived with indigenous tribes in Brazil, and documented life in refugee camps in Jordan and Iraq. He's also showcased the resilience of the human spirit by capturing former child soldiers turned boxers in the bustling city of Goma, DRC.
Back in the US, his niche of creating branded documentaries to tell compelling stories has given him the opportunity to work with such varied clients as Calvin Klein, Goldman Sachs, Jordan and Under Armour. He's filmed legendary rock figures including Lemmy Kilmister, Joan Jett, Keith Richards and Florence And The Machine. His films have received global recognition and won awards at numerous festivals.
Savva strongly believes in giving back and empowering communities. He serves as a creative advisory board member for Lens on Life, a nonprofit that teaches photography and computer literacy skills to at-risk youth worldwide. Currently residing in Brooklyn with his wife and one-year-old, Savva continues to pursue inspiring stories to tell.
