A scheme was set up to help women off the streets by teaching them to ride motorbikes. Many vulnerable women and girls who had previously worked as prostitutes became motorbike taxi drivers and earned good money doing something they felt proud of. New bans on motorbikes in Freetown mean that these women are now struggling to make a living.
After the deadly mudslide in Sierra Leone I collected personal stories from some of those worst affected. I also took their photographs.
