This is Part Four in a series of Island Institute-produced videos about climate change effects on our nation's fisheries. In Part Four, we return to Maine to focus on a positive future for the state's fishing communities through aquaculture and how more and more resource harvesters are seeing farmed shellfish and sea vegetables as a vital way to stay on the water.
This video is one of several in a short documentary video series called "Island Postcards", which highlights Maine island people and the interesting lives they lead.
The Maine Coast Fishermen's Association identifies and fosters ways to restore the fisheries of the Gulf of Maine and sustain Maine's historic fishing communities for future generations.
