Nepal SEEDS (Social Educational Environmental Development Services) is a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This is what they are doing to improve education in rural Nepal.
Between the bustling streets of Phạm Ngũ Lão and Bùi Viện, not far from the backpackers, karaoke singers and clubs is the maze of Hẻms 27 and 28. Quiet slices of life were found at every dead-end and around every corner.
This is a small portrait of Ramba Regmi, a Nepalese woman who was granted Temporary Protected Status after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit her home country in 2015. The status allowed to go from being an undocumented nail salon worker to a business owner in just two years. But her days at her hard-won post may be numbered, as the end of TPS draws near for Regmi and thousands of other immigrants.

The sound of drums and chanting echoed out of the temple doors at the United Sherpa Association in Queens as festivalgoers crammed into the lobby, took off their shoes, and entered to pray and receive a blessing from the monks lined up inside.
