I am a documentary filmmaker and media educator with a passion for discovering and creating platforms for voices not often heard. I've worked the past eight years as education manager and senior production manager for ITVS and the PBS series Independent Lens. Before that, I worked as a freelance documentary director, producer and DP, including as co-producer of Maquilapolis which aired on POV in 2007. Prior to my media career, I worked as a refugee and immigrant advocate at Amnesty International. I have a masters degree in journalism from UC Berkeley.
