World Refugee Day
As the Senior Specials Producer at TRT World I planned, produced and output breaking news and special coverage for major international events. Topics covered included the COVID-19 pandemic, World Refugee Day, the War in Syria, and the 2020 US Presidential elections. In this role I discuss editorial coverage with correspondents in the field, select high-profile guests with our interview desk and collaborate on branding and graphics with the creative department. I also work with our control room team to output these programs live on air, successfully juggling the constantly changing demands of a breaking news environment.

Our Toronto is a wide-ranging one hour program focusing on the people and events making an impact on Canada's largest city. Along with high-profile guests discussing the week's hot topics, the program also regularly features what's happening in music, movies and books, as well as the latest in health and consumer news. In addition to conceptualising the program from its inception, I was also responsible for weekly development of program ideas, style, pace, and the format for CBC's Our Toronto. Key tasks involved a demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a stressful and demanding work environment, produce high quality news and current affairs within defined resource levels and create engaging programming using a wide variety of production techniques. Worked for nearly 7 years as a program editor with TRT World. As a senior news producer I create intelligent and engaging hourly live content for international audiences. The role requires finetuned editorial skills and strong team management. I am responsible for overseeing the output of this team on an hourly basis, as well as during live events and developing stories. Most recently, I have been dedicated to the production of our two Newshour programs for the network.
