Verdict of Kathua rape,murder:Lifer for 3, 5-yr term for 3, 1 acquitted
A Special Court in Pathankot Monday awarded life imprisonment to three out of the six convicted for the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Jammu’s Kathua district last year. After nearly a year-long trial, the court held the six guilty in the case that shook the conscience of people across India. The court acquitted another accused Vishal Jangotra, son of mastermind Sanji Ram, giving him the ”benefit of doubt”.
