He has developed a wide range of TV series and documentaries for Al Jazeera, National Geographic, New York Times, Telesur. His first feature film “Disparos” (Mexico 2018), has competed around the world at top international festivals such as Guadalajara and Dok.Fest Munich. It was the most exhibited documentary in movie theaters in Mexico during 2019. His last film, Blood On Our Side, commissioned by Al Jazeera Witness, won the Best Documentary Short Jury Award at the Austin Film Festival 2020, qualifying the film for the Academy Awards 2021. Currently he lives in Athens, Greece .

Drug trafficking has left millions of hidden victims in Mexico. In Guerrero, one of the most violent regions in the country, because of the threat of drug-trafficking and the corruption of authorities, whole villages have been abandoned. Empty schools, closed houses and walls filled with bullet holes. This areas still present a danger because they are a passageway for gunmen and smugglers.

“Hellinikon” was one of the headquarters of the Olympic Games (2004). Now, the abandoned stadiums are used as shelter for thousands of refugees who live under inhuman conditions: high temperatures and lack of hygiene.
