Hailing from the Bay Area California, Mary Evangelista makes film and video with an emphasis in narrative storytelling. It is not the what that matters in a story (for it's all been told before) but the how. With a desire to make striking films across genres that move people to action and to deep feeling, she co-founded Halfhouse Studio with long-time collaborator Joanne Mony Park while attending UCSD Visual Arts program. They have since made a handful of short films including commissioned work for fashion designer Karolyn Pho and a music video for musician Photay's hit song No Sass.
