John was excellent to work with on this project. We had to setup several elements of the shoot at the last minute and he was very flexible about this. He is an excellent shooter and went above and beyond by returning to a shoot location on his own time to gather additional broll when we'd had to leave early on a previous day. Two wooden churches and a bell tower have proudly stood on Kizhi Island in Russia for hundreds of years, weathering the test and tumult of time with only a tree-born tenacity. That's a dramatic way of saying that these impressive and ornate structures were built in the traditional Russian carpentry style, using only wooden logs with interlocking corners—no nails or metal supports here whatsoever.
