Request QuoteNever happier than when on location with the sun in my eyes and a script in my hand, my passion for storytelling has not diminished an iota after 20 years of working behind the camera. I am a Producer /Director focused on travel video content. In the last 2 ½ years I have researched, developed, produced and directed over 150 digital videos across the APAC region covering topics ranging from Michelin Chefs in Singapore, perfect laksa in KL and floating markets in Bangkok to gun-toting tribes in the mountains of China, whale watching in Oz and poisonous puffer fish in Japan. My strength lies in finding unique stories and crafting videos that they are engaging and memorable. Subject, format, and usage don’t really matter to me-I just love to tell stories.
China’s neglected ethnic tribes were once so remotely located that the Cultural Revolution had no impact on them. My challenge as a director was to find a voice for the story. I found Louisa. She spoke with a strong British accent picked up from backpackers with whom she bartered village tours for English classes. Her immense pride in her background came through in every sentence she spoke.
Role: Researcher, Director, Producer I was thrilled when two chefs told us that instead of heading out to the streets and looking for their favorite food, we should visit one of their homes. Juggling multiple “characters” was a challenge but eventually, this video was all about journeys - our hosts journey from Canada, the chef’s journey from village to city and our journey of discovery.
Role: Scriptwriter, Producer, Director 72 year old, John Grey called me from a hospital still buzzing from the drugs given to him when the doctors reset his fractured arm. It was a day before our shoot. "Screw these doctors! he said, "I will be there!" And so he was, with a pink cast and many words of wisdom. A great man, a great tour, and a great shoot.
