I began my career as a writer for the Indian version of Sesame Street India (Galli Galli Sim Sim). From there I moved on to become a freelance director and cameraperson on a variety of projects mainly in the factual and non-fiction space. I have worked on shows for the Discovery Channel (as Associate Director and Cameraman), National Geogphrapic (Cameraman for Inside IPL) as well as independent documentaries. Interesting stories guide my work and I have worked on documentaries on a diverse range of issues from Kashmiri Sufi music to Buddhist nuns who are learning Kung Fu. My film Badshah Lear on the revival of a folk theater form in Kashmir was screened at Film South Asia 2020 and is part of their travelling film festicval.
