I promise
To date, the situation in the areas affected by the earthquakes in central Italy is dire, with many small towns in danger of never returning to what they were before the quakes. Once the media wave has passed, it seems that this situation no longer affects our country. But there are so many people who, remaining on the ground, are working every day to make sure that their land continues to live. That is why we thought it was important to tell this through a documentary. The documentary tells four stories of daily resistance that we learned about, listened to and experienced with the protagonists. Campotosto, Ussita, and L'Aquila are the locations where we went in an RV. In particular, the narrative revolves around the stories of four women, why they decided to stay, how they struggled and continue to struggle every day, how they created networks of solidarity among the affected towns and cities, how meetings, fundraisers, debates are promoted, as well as the relationship of each of them with the surrounding nature, the Apennines, mountains among the oldest in Europe. The resilience of these women, their memories, their friendships and their hopes is what was told through the images. Written and directed by Cecilia Fasciani
