Baba Cavit is a father to 1.000 refugee families in Siteler an extremely poor neighborhood in Ankara. After witnessing the desperate living conditions of his Syrian neighbors he sold his car and spends all his retirement money on supporting them. With nothing more than his phone and a big notebook he now helps around 3.500 people, which brings joy to his life and at times drives him to despair.
The documentary program featured Guo Chuan, the renowned Chinese sailor, and his adventure of revisiting the maritime Silk Road with his 97-foot Trimaran “Qingdao China”. Guo and his international crew of five from Russia, Germany and France spend 60 days on the sea sailing from Qingdao to Monaco through Hong Kong, Singapore, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Mumbai, Alexandria in Egypt and Genova in Italy.
