About
I was born in in Milan (Italy) and discovered my passion for filmmaking and
photography at a very young age, when there were no computers or digital cameras yet.
I managed to pay for my university studies by doing video installations for museums, art exhibitions, live concerts and shows and achieved a MA in educational sciences (University of Bologna) and a MA in digital technologies, communication and education (University of Manchester).
Thanks to my profession, I traveled all over Europe working with major musicians and dancers from all over the world.
After finishing the university I left for a two months trip to Africa but till today, 12 years after, I never left the continent.
In 2007 I founded the International organization Cultural Video Foundation, with the aim of using multimedia as a tool to inform, connect, advocate and educate disadvantaged people all over the world.
Since then I have been working all over Africa for different UN agencies and International TV stations, finally settling in Dar Es Salaam since January 2015, where I live with my two kids.
I define myself as a media activist and "film for change" can easily resume my vision.
In this information society knowledge is power, but it is also a precious good and I am dedicating my passion and profession in spreading media and information literacy, as a basic human rights and an invaluable skill for today's and tomorrow's citizens.
