Jasmine El-Gamal is a national security expert; former Middle East advisor at the Pentagon; and mental health advocate and advisor. She is the Founder and CEO of Mindwork Strategies, LTD, a consulting firm with a mission to help organisations craft empathy-based, culturally driven approaches to foreign policy, communications and workplace mental health. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Jasmine has emerged as a vocal and passionate advocate for improving mental health in the workplace, particularly in high-stress environments such as government, journalism, medicine, tech and the military, frequently writing and speaking on the topic in public fora and to private audiences. She is the creator and host of Mind/work show, an interview-centered podcast dedicated to exploring mental health in the workplace, one story at a time. Her commentary has appeared in The Washington Post, USA Today, The Atlantic, Newsweek, Time, CNN, Al Jazeera, Al Hurra, L’Orient du Jour, Le Figaro, BBC, Sky News.
