I have a masters in Social Documentation from UC Santa Cruz where I completed my thesis documentary film about sustainable agriculture in Cuba. I work in this field because I love to interact with people and am encouraged by the possibility of widening perspectives (my own, the participants, and the viewers.) My interests are infinite and my work has ranged from topics of racial injustice, to challenging international aid, to examining sustainable agriculture, and celebrating cultural heritage. I am available for freelance work anywhere in the world as a photographer, videographer, producer, and director.
This video was produced in conjunction with a project called "Not the Other" which aims to increase Santa Cruz community members’ understanding of the daily struggles of those who are experiencing homelessness and to invite community members to think critically about prevailing negative stereotypes.
The film was created to document the Global Health Initiative's first summit meeting where they are discussing a new approach to health issues in Guatemala.
