Request QuoteDanish-born filmmaker, creative director, and writer, I partner with clients to discover the most compelling ways to tell their stories. My work has been in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and in film festivals across the globe. For documentary content, my stories frequently focus on misfits and outliers who see the world differently, examining their bold responses to the mismatches between expectations and circumstances. My list of clients include AARP, Diageo, IBM, Nokia, SYPartners, Pushpin Studios, Milk Media, IxDA, and Mailchimp. My documentary, The Emergency Kit, premiered at DOC NYC in New York in 2014. I'm fully invested in a very collaborative approach, favoring the use of nimble teams. In addition to my role as director, my responsibilities often include creative direction, writing, editing, casting, and producing. From Copenhagen, I am based in Brooklyn and available to work across the globe.

The first of three short documentary portraits of uniquely creative designers and their work, the series starts with this piece about extreme experience designer, Nelly Ben Hayoun. Produced for the Interaction Design Association, each two-minute segment surveys the designer’s approach to problem-solving, as well as the philosophies, which guide their understanding of their role as designers.
In 2016, legendary designer and artist, Seymour Chwast, of the Pushpin Group, released a powerful anti-war book, AT WAR WITH WAR. I made the documentary films about the book and how it all came together. In collaboration with Steven Heller, the book’s editor, I provided creative direction and wrote the film script. I directed and edited the stories and worked with the composer on the score.

Ushahidi is one of the most impressive start-ups ever to come out of Africa. In Praise Of Resilience is a short documentary portrait about their work and their approach to design innovation. The film features Ravi Naidoo, founder of Design Indaba, and Juliana Rotich, exec. director of Ushahidi and iHub, in Nairobi, Kenya. Produced for the IxDA, in conjunction with Interaction 17 in New York City.

Working closely with SYPartners’ team of designers and strategists, I created a series of short documentaries to help AARP redefine the digital lives of their 37 million members who are over 50. Using an anthropological approach to draft stories for four tech archetypes, each one describes a particular kind of older tech user found today. This piece is the fourth and final film of the series.
