Arrived in Burkina Faso 4 years ago as part of a project to update the mapping of the country, Erwan decided to devote himself fully to his passion for documentary photography. In visit in Europe to see his family, his plane lands on the evening of 29 October in Ouagadougou. Next morning the National Assembly was in flames. The Blaise Compaoré regime drew to a close. It was his first direct experience with the uprising of a people … a revolution. Therefore, he decide to follow the entire process leading the Burkina Faso to democratic elections He has exhibited his work on the popular uprising in Ouagadougou and he also had the opportunity to exhibit in Nyarugusu camp – Tanzania, some portraits of refugees made in the same camp for the World Refugee Day 2015 in partnership with the UNHCR. Erwan is distributed since 2015 by the French agency IP3 Press.

More than 2500 masks from several African countries participated in the 13th edition of the International Festival of Masks and Arts from 27 to 05 March 2016 in Dédougou. Masks from all the region took part in the festivities representing a large sample of masks made of fiber, leaf, straw, cloth and bark. This great event of expression of the African mask welcomed nearly 100.000 visitors, tourists
This project consists of a series of portraits of Nyarugusu refugees camp residents, photographed in front of their places of habitat, aims to be a witness of the different situations that exist within Nyarugusu. Refugees who have just arrived in those since the creation of the camp, here is an overview of the geographical and temporal disparities observed in Nyarugusu.
Through this project, I would describe in pictures milestones that led the Burkina Faso on the road to democracy and who erected the status of an example for Africa. From the popular uprising of 30 and 31 October 2014 which brought to power a transitional regime till the coupled elections of 29 November 2015 which saw Roch Marc Christian Kaboré take the reins of power without forget putsch.
Following an invitation from the Government of Burkina Faso, the European Union established a mission to observe the country’s general and presidential elections, held on 29 November 2015. The mission, which comprised a core team, long-term observers and short-term observers from EU Member States, was led by Cécile Kashetu Kyenge, an Italian Member of the European Parliament.
