I was behind the camera for this video, which was initially made for Fusion and became an Editor's Pick on The Atlantic. I came up with the concept and did the research after hearing about an intriguing boxing den hidden beneath a crowded railway station. It took days to find it, before we started following Leo, a 19-year-old hoping to fight his way out of poverty.
