I am a freelance print and radio journalist in English-language media in Quebec City. I am bilingual in English and French, and I speak basic Spanish and Haitian Creole. I currently work with CBC Radio, The Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph, International Figure Skating Magazine, Life in Québec Magazine (and website) and the French-language monthly Les Immigrants de la Capitale. I have had clips in the Montreal Gazette and La Presse. I have experience as a travel writer, copy editor and interpreter; I specialize in covering international development (especially as it relates to Africa), intercultural relations, GLBT issues, poverty issues, religion, mental health and obscure sports, although I enjoy wrapping my head around new issues. I can edit sound. I do not have a car. I am working on improving my photography, videography and video editing skills as well as languages.

A new form of triathlon made its world premiere in Quebec City. As a trilingual (English-French-Russian) speaker at this triathlon I was the only person able to interview all the athletes, including Pavel Andreev of Russia, surprise bronze medalist with an interesting backstory. A colleague and I did a total of 4 stories on this and the series is up for an award.
I interviewed a noted ice dance choreographer in French and produced a piece in English for a well-known figure skating magazine.
