Yasu is not only a fantastic video editor, but he is a great storyteller. Any producer would get a great benefit out of what Yasu can bring to the project. He can perform not only as a video editor but a producer on a documentary project. The challenge of this particular project was none of us understood Ukrainian, and we had to rely on the field production team to provide the transcripts of the footage. But for Yasu, it didn't matter. He didn't sit and wait for the transcripts but went through the footage, read the body language of the characters in the videos, and selected great moments which ended up in the story after they were translated. Without Yasu taking ownership of this project, this would have been a very difficult, long post-production process. I look forward to working on more projects with Yasu.
