Sabrina Thompson is a videographer, photographer and creator of KUUphotography.com a multi-media haven for clients to showcase their life's moments through cinematic short films or incredible photography. In 2013 Thompson partnered with Frontline Solutions' production of Under Construction, a racial justice and movement building video project that tells the story of twelve organizations working to improve the lives of Boys and Men of Color (BMOC) throughout the United States. These 12 organizations span the U.S.from Jackson, Mississippi to Anchorage, Alaskaworking with diverse populations of young men. Under Construction tells the story of these organizations and the communities they serve in four distinct and complementary ways: A narrative written profile that tells the story of the organization; A photographic essay; A brief (5-7 minute) documentary video; and an info-graphic program model that depicts the organizations activities and impact. Under Construction is a collaborative effort with the aim of expanding the conversation about what it looks like to effectively promote opportunities for young men of color through a range of innovative, community-rooted approaches.
